A Retreat Trip To FRIM With IEM G&S Group

22nd ofApril 2007, another memorable day for me and my lovely boyfriend ! The first time, my boyfriend brought me to join his IEM G&S outdoor activity - we went for a halfday trip to the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia ( FRIM ) at Kepong.

A very greenery, energetic, healthy and fresh Sunday morning.

We gathered in front of FRIM Administration Office at 9am and the guided tour started at about 9.30am. The usual guide that we have from FRIM, the forever experience, talkative and knowledgeable Mr Ang lead us for about 3 hours plus and without stop, he shared with us all his knowledge on trees, plantation, history, culture and etc. Really a very professional guide !

We started with a guided tour at the Museum, air-conditioned Museum and this is the first photograph that we took for the day. Still looked very fresh and pretty handsome oh .............. hahaaaaa...................... Photo taken by Ho, my boyfriend's best friend, another funny handsome young guy - Ho ! See, everybody is concentrating on Mr Ang's briefing on the palm oil plantations. A total of 13 of us on the trip. The guy in white on the right is Mr Ang and of course, the one who put his full attention to Mr Ang's presentation is my boyfriend loh - Soh Loh !!!!

The weather really hot, I am very tired, thirsty, and hungry ( with only one piece of bread as breakfast then go for such a tiring exercise, ha !) So, while Mr Ang is explaining on one of the trees in the middle of the jungle, I took the chance to take a rest and sat on the trunk, then got catched by my honey ........................ hahaaaa...................

Take a closer look at the roots of the tree, so nice and amazing .......................

Big bamboo trees on the left, according to Mr Ang, this is the biggest bamboo trees in Malaysia and see the picture on the right, how nice is the jungle, eventhough weather is so hot but due to all the greens, we feel still cooling and nice with the wind ................

Me at the Canopy Walk - The couple behind me is the only couple except me and my boyfriend. The rest of them came alone without their partners, leaving their girlfriend at work, leaving their wife at home to take care of children, leaving their boyfriends and girlfriends for their own other activities................. see how nice my boyfriend, bring me along with him for the trip and thanks again, my dear for being so considered and nice to me !!!

Picture on the left : Guess what is this tree ? Don't see it so small but small thing can be very powerful leh ! This is the most famoust tree in Malaysia especially among Malays - Tongkat Ali. Can't imagine leh, so small but yet very powerful. The tour guide - Mr Ang said due to our members are all adults, he allows us to touch the plant and he explained quite a fair bit of this plant too. Not sure if any of our group members ' un-intentionally ' pluck some and bring home for own usage ? Hahaa........................

My Sister's Boyfriend's Birthday Celebration 2007

Hi all, since so long I have been quiet loh............ after the Chinese New Year Pulau Perhentian trip, me and my lovely boyfriend have been quiet down for a while coz I am busy to get myself a new career, he is busy with his work as well............ so, not much activities between me and him after February, especially in March ..............

But no roblem, since 14th April 2007, since I have bought my first digital camera in my life, chosen by my loved one - Canon Ixus during the PIKOM PC Fair on 14th April 2007, I will take photos for all the activities from now onwards in order to make my and his life more memorable loh............. hahaaaa................ so happy leh ................

Now, let me share with you some nice photos shot using my brand new camera. The first event after I bought my brand new camera is my sister's boyfriend's birthday - CK's Birthday ! Happy birthday to him and see how nice I treated him, I used my new camera to shoot his celebration as my first event in the camera - " hoi cheong " leh ........................ see, CK, so good I treat you ............ hahhaaaaaa...............

The best thing is we do not need to cook our raw food and there is someone serves you the whole night and what impressed me was the way they mixed the cooked dishes with their in-house specialty gravy and sauces ........... made the dishes taste so good and delicious ............. yummy yummy !!!!

Trip To Fuo Guang Shan - Dong Zen Temple

On the 15th day / lastday of the Chinese New Year - ' Yuan Xiao Jie ' or Chinese Traditional Valentine's Day, me myself, my younger sister, her boyfriend and my friend - Levine have paid a visit to Fuo Guang Shan - Dong Zen Temple at Banting to join the big celebration.


There were parade going on which included a live " Kuan Yin " sitting on top, some cute small little escorts who followed the " Choi San " and etc. International Religion Stamps Exhibition was in placed, Book Fair with Antiques Exhibition was at the main hall, " Chai Deng Mi " Competition, Flower Exhibition and lots of other activities.

See, this is one of the most beautiful temples at Fuo Guang Shan which attracted a long que of people to que up in line to climb up to the top for photo shoots and night bird eye's view of the Banting Town.

Trip To Perhentian Island During Chinese New Year 2007

Hi, all my friends ! This is the trip that I have gone during the Chinese New Year 2007 in February with my beloved boyfriend, my sister and her boyfriend to Perhentian Island in Terengganu state.

Our original plan was to go to southern part of Thailand to celebrate the Chinese New Year long holiday but unfortunately, one day prior to our departure, there was a serious bombing happened in Bangkok, Hatyai, Golok and some southern area of Thailand and this made us changed our plan on the departure day. Instead of going towards north of Malaysia, we switched our sterling to the East Coast of Malaysia as we decided last minute to go to islands.

We were thinking to go to Pulau Kapas as per our initial plan, but again, God is challenging our patience and try to make our life difficult. Pulau Kapas, Pulau Redang and Pulau Lang Tengah all are under monsoon season and on that morning, the waves were so rough and there were no boat to bring us into the islands. The only choice that we have on that day is Perhentian Island where my poor boyfriend had been there for two times already. But what to do ? That's the only choice we have at that moment. So, we all said sorry to my beloved darling and then we were heading to the island with the 30-minute speedboat. ( Of course, we have also obtained permission from my boyfriend for going into the island. Afterall, we are all good people and we don't force people one ! Ha ! ).

So, we parked our car at the Jetty Car Park ( RM 15.00 per day ) and then we proceed to the Travel Agents near the Jetty to look for boat transfers. Upon arrival at Perhentian Kechil Island, we stopped by at a local owned chalet and immediately after I have made a decision to ask for price for one chalet, we decided to take up the rooms. The banglo styled chalet ( with attached bathroom and fan ) costs RM 40.00 per chalet per night and the semi-detached chalet costs RM 35.00 per night. We took 2 units. Very funny thing, we have been staying there for two nights, the chalet owners have never asked us to register ourselves at the counter and not even chase us for payment, we only paid them the room payment upon checking out. Funny !!!

It is a very nice chalet, I love the landscape of the chalet very much. In total, I think there are approximately 40 units of chalets. Very cooling place with all greenery around the chalets, and the chalets are all located in a round shape where in the middle of the chalets, there are trees, flowers and areas for people to rest and sleeping at the hanging bed. So nice, and there is a restaurant where at night, Astro TV is available for in house guests and there are table pool available, some games and chess too.

We stayed in Perhentian Kechil Island for two nights and then we proceed to Perhentian Besar Island. The cost of living in Perhentian Kechil is much more lower than in Perhentian Besar. And in terms of variety of restaurants, beach activities and nights performances, Perhentian Kechil is the right choice. And somemore, there is a place where we can all feed the giant iguanas in the evening. In my this trip, I didn't have the chance to feed the iguanas, only manage to see one in fact in the hot afternoon but during my first visit to the island many years back, I used to feed them. Ha ! There was a funny thing happened when we were seeing the iguana. My boyfriend was scared by my shouting, not the iguana while he was showing me the iguana. Ha ! You know lah, lady likes to scream and shout, and can't help, sorry my dear for this !!!

We spent a night at Perhentian Besar where we stayed in a better hotel named Coral View Resort, a 3 star hotel, RM 120.00 per room per night without breakfast but with attached bathroom, hot shower and aircond ! ha ha ha ............

Overall, we have been snorkeling for fullday ( 10am to 4pm ), we spent a whole hot afternoon to gamble at the watercolour resort open air restaurant for about 5 or 6 hours, my darling and my sister's beloved wanted to do the canoeing but not managed to find time to do it, we have BBQ dinner, we have very good breakfasts and dinners, we have many glasses of fruit juices, we have bought many tit-bits but can't finished.................... all in all, it's a very relaxing trip which I believed four of us also enjoyed the time spent on the island and came back with happy memory !!!

Really looking forward to another happy and fun trip in near future !!!! Hopefully it will come soon......................

Happy Chinese New Year 2007

This year, I was having a very special Chinese New Year celebration because I have my boyfriend to be with me during the festive season. This is the first Chinese New Year that we celebrated together because we have only started our relationship last Christmas. Ha !

So, it's my first time to meet up with his family members - his mum, his aunts, his uncles, his cousin brothers, his nephews and many other relatives. 4 days before the arrival of the Chinese New Year, my cute cute sweet heart bought a BIG hamper to my house and this was his first time to pay visit to my house to meet up with my parents, my siblings, my brother in law, my niece, my nephew, my aunt and my maids. He was a little bit scared & nervous when first I told him to bring the hamper to my house but after he met up with my friendly family members, he felt relieved although he was bombared by my brother-in-law with tons and tons of difficult questions. However, my sweet heart managed to handle it very well and his " report card " from my family sounded very good on the first impression he imposed to them. Well done, my dear !

Very soon, when the Chinese New Year is just around the corner, and when I thought I will only meet up with my boyfriend's mother on the third day of Chinese New Year, so co-incidently, we got a chance to meet up at Mid Valley for a dinner. That was really an impromptur meeting with his mum without any prior preparation and I was only wearing a T-Shirt. The only feedback from his mum on her first impression on me was : " She is very good at make up & she has a bigger body than my son ! "............ Oh my godness !!!! This was really a hurt comment from someone who carry weight in my heart.

Hmm............ by having optimistic characteristic, I accepted her comment ' happily ' with open heart. What to do ? Who to blame for me to have a small size body boyfriend ? ( But that was quite a painful comment / fact to be accepted )..............

Alright, then moved on to the First Day of Chinese New Year. My boy friend's house has a new ' rule ' or I rather call it a new ' anti-chinese traditional rule ' to apply which was introduced by his cousin sister. All female family members are exempted from going into kitchen on the first day of Chinese New Year and only male family members are allow to do cooking this day. Wow ! This is a real challenge for my cute darling. For having live his life for the past 30 years, he doesn't even know how to operate the gas in the kitchen or has never prepare himself a fried egg or a meal, now the family required him to prepare a presentable dish to be served on the first day of Chinese New Year ???? Wah lau ehh !!!!! Big challenge leh .....................

But still, with my boyfriend's ' Ah Fui's Never Die cum Everything Also Can Spirit ', he managed to cook a Fried Fish with Asam Sauce plus nice decoration to be served and he won the second prize from all the 7 contestants. Bravo, my beloved ! I felt so proud with your excellent performance and talent in cooking just with 4 times rehearsal + training, you were able to cook a delicious dish. So, I think with just a little bit of training, you can definitely be a good chef in future. Dear, I will be more than happy to be your tester. Ha !!!!

Don't forget, you have won a " Frying Pan " in your Wong's family's cooking competition and you can use it for your future cooking session. I am really looking forward for it in near future.

At night, the Mat Salleh boyfriend of my boyfriend's cousin sister has chance to taste the " Yee Sang ".

Me and my family were overnight at my relative's house in Malacca on the first day of Chinese New Year after our visit to Muar, my grandma's house. Second day of Chinese New Year, as usual, me and my family pay visit to all the relatives house. My married sisters, both came from Lukut and Klang to Malacca to reunion with us at my eldest aunty's house and then we proceed to go from one relative's house to another to say hello and Gong Xi Fa Cai with four cars - My dad's car, my younger sister - Bee's car, my eldest brother-in-law's car and my youngest brother-in-law's car.

When we reached Paya Mengkuang Village, my cute cute boyfriend suddenly said he wants to join us for the visit and he came all the way from Seremban to Masjid Tanah to meet up with my relatives. This was really touched and I really felt he is a good boyfriend for being so understanding and kind to me. But poor him because he get bombared painfully this time at Chong's brothers house with numerous, non-stop, many many plenty and tons of questions from my eldest brother in law - Dickson ( the most naughtiest brother-in-law in the world ) and the Chong's Brothers - Andy, Simon, Billy, Wah Chai, Raymond and so on.

Really poor my sweet heart for getting shoot from all of them. Luckily, my boyfriend is strongly enough and skillful enough to overcome all this ' challenges ' in life and finally, he still managed to walk out from Chong's Brother's house in one full piece ! God blessed !

Then after 3 hours plus to be with my family, my darling got to rush back to Seremban again for his dinner at home. Really thanks him for being so caring to me. I love you, nan peng you !!!

Third day early in the morning at 8am, my boyfriend came to Lukut - my youngest sister's house to pick me up to his house in Seremban for breakfast. This is my first time to meet up with his family members and relatives. Wow ! Really a scary session where only after approximately 15 or 20 minutes of meeting up with his mum, right after I stepped out from the living hall of his Aunt's house, my boyfriend's mum has another comment on me again - " His girlfriend has a very big backside and this is good for future production ya ! " Oh no............ aunty.......................

Forth day early in the morning at 3am, me myself, my boyfriend, my younger sister - Bee and her boyfriend departed for Terengganu for a 4 days 3 nights trip at Pulau Perhentian. Originally, we were planning to go to Betong in Thailand but due to the bomb, we changed our plan last minute and turned our sterling to East Coast. Unfortunately, we were thinking to go to Redang or Lang Tengah or Pulau Kapas, but due to the monsoon season, some of the islands are still closed or due to the bad weather early in the morning, only boat to Perhentian Island is available. So, no choice, we got to go to Perhentian Island. Poor my boyfriend again as he has been to the same island for 2 times already and this was his third visit.

A relax and happy 4 days 3 nights trip at Perhentian Island where I gained a lot of weights because except eating, sleeping, gambling, drinking, snorkeling and swimming, we do nothing on the island.

All four of us were burned with black skin due to the hot weather at the island. All 4 of us were having a very happy time at both the Perhentian Kechil and Perhentian Besar Islands. We also got chance to watch the komodo or big iguana on Perhentian Kechil. Where I won't forget that my boyfriend nearly get heart attack with my loud shouting voice when I saw the big iguana. Hahaaaa............. funny nan peng you !!!

On our way back to KL, when we passed by Kemaman, my boyfriend brought us to a nice old historical Kopitiam for nice coffee and charcoal bread. The roti were really nice and I love it very much ! Dinner at Karak Highway Village also a good one, but a little bit expensive.

Reached home at about 8.30pm after a 10 hours drive from East Coast to KL. But still full of fun especially during our return journey back to KL ........... my lovely sister told my boyfriend all my bad things in life and this really made my boyfriend excited and happy !!!

Hahaaaaa.......................... All in all, I really enjoyed myself with this Chinese New Year and always felt so ' xin fu ' to have such a good boyfriend !!!
