Lian Fung's Birthday Celebration 2007

14th June of year 2007, it's my only brother - Lian Fung's big day !!! It's his birthday !!!

This year, he is already 13th years old. Time really flies so fast, still remember, when he was borned, all of us were really happy because after a long time, not having baby at home, after he was borne, our house becomes so noisy and happy. And so fast, this year, he is already a secondary school boy ! My god, and his sister, me still not married yet. Hahaahahaaa................ sometimes really wondering, how come I never feel that I have been getting old leh ................ hahahaaaa........................

This is him, a very typical my father's son. His behaviour, diet preference, actions, all have my father's shadings. Really like father, like son.

This little chubby boy, got girl friend already. Everyday told me about his girl friend's story. Ha !!!

My boyfriend always said I like to bully my this only brother, he felt that I don't love him enough. Of course lah, my dear, if you compared you with my brother, of course my love to you will definitely much much more than to him loh ............ how can you compared you with him, you will 100% more important than him to me loh................... hahahahaa...............

There is no special birthday celebration for him this year. My parent have a dinner at Semenyih, my boyfriend is at Indonesia for work, the other sisters are all not free, only me and him. I brought him for a ' romantic ' western dinner somewhere near my house. He is happy !!!

Anyway, my this brother is consider good boy lah ! No demanding too much and consider very ' guai ' already.

See, his little chubby face, I always pull his leg by telling him that he is too fat for his age.

Titi Eco Farm Resort - Inspection Trip With Exco

19th of May, I went for an inspection trip to Titi Eco Farm Resort with my MII Toastmasters Club Exco members. Leong, Ho, Joyce, Levine and I were there for the trip.


I only took a few photos from my camera since we have a professional photographer - Ho there to take pictures for the members.

This was at the ' yao yao chair ' in front of the center hall for adults and children to play !!!

Left : The open-air living hall for us to have first day lunch. Very cooling place with nice view !

Right : The side view of the resort. Two and a half storey, ground floor, is the dining hall with shared bathroom & toilets. 1st Floor, all guest rooms with ceiling fans and the one on the top, pent house - is a big room which could accommodate 10 persons in one room.

Not bad, a good place where promotes healthy living and eating. No air-cond, only ceiling fans. After all meals, guests have to wash their own dishes. Eating all organic fresh food and fruits, drinking herbal drinks, breathing the fresh air, very cooling especially at night. No mosquitos, no worry !!!

Levine was with us at the inspection trip and the right hand side, is the nice organic farm view.

Another nice view from another ankle. Right hand side is the Karaoke Room with TV and AV equipment available. But only very limited VCD, DVD or CD available at the resort. If you plan to have a karaoke session there, don't forget to bring your own CD, DVD or VCD loh !!!

One of the interesting activities organised by the resort - The Salad Making Session. After the staff shared with you how to make the salad, you can also taste it. Hmm.............. yummy yummy ! Delicious neh ................

Mother's Day Celebration 2007

May 13th 2007, suppose to be a memorial day for all the people in Malaysia due to the May 13th incident in year 1953 ( forgot the year ), but this year 2007, 13th of May is Mother's Day.

We, again, the whole family, except for Dickson and Da Jie's family, are celebrating the festival at Jumbo Chinese Restaurant in Seri Petaling.

We are having breakfast cum lunch = Brunch at the restaurant from 9.30am till 1.30pm. Ha ha ha ha, really eat a lot .................................

See, me and my boyfriend were so happy acting with the ' cha shao bao ' ................... ha ha ha .......

This was at night in our house, due to too full the breakfast and lunch that we have in the restuarant, we decided to keep the Mother's Day cake till night, then we cut it at home. See, everybody are in their pyjamas or house T-shirt ! Except me ........... hahahahhahaaa............ coz just came back from ' pat toh ' with my boyfriend mah ..............

World Vision Sponsor's Briefing At PJ Hilton Hotel

5th May 2007, World Vision is having a " Tribute To Sponsor " at PJ Hilton Hotel. This is basically an introduction to public about World Vision and their Child Sponsorship Programme. A very well done event where I can see quite many forms submitted to the counter for Child Sponsorship Programme.

Dear, I think I meant it when I said : I bought the camera just to keep memory between you and me. See, these three photos are from the same angle and same presentation. Ha ! I was there for about 2 and a half hour, but I only remembered to take out my camera to snap photo at the end of the session - The last presentation of the day. I meant it, dear !!!

The singing presentation was presented by the Harvest Group people, very talented children with good singing skill.

I was so happy for attending this event for two reasons :

1. I met my secondary school classmate - a friend that I have not contacted for 12 years. My god ! Unbelievable, at World Vision event, I met my old schoolmate, what a happy feeling. Ang Suan Yong, sorry for can't even remembered your name. And I was so surprise, after 12 years no contact at all, not even meet up each other for so many years, you managed to call my full name in just about 1 minute time. Suan Yong, you made me shamed lah ........... sorry for my old memory.................. so happy that you managed to recognise me still and remembered my full name. God !!! Let's keep in touch ya !!!

2. My sister's boyfriend - CK and my sister has signed up a child from Thailand - a girl. The purpose I called them there is for them to have a chance to know more about World Vision and Child Sponsorship Programme since everytime I told CK about this programme, he sounded so interested and excited and today, I think it's a best time for him to take action. And he made it !!! And for Levine, she also contributed RM 200 to World Vision as development fund.

CK, Bee and Levine, thanks for your contribution to the child and World Vision and on behalf of World Vision, I would really like to thank you for your kindness and generousness. Because of you all, the world becomes better, because of you all, the world becomes so warm and because of you all, it encourages me to tell more friends about this programme and thanks again for adding my list longer. Thank you from my bottom of heart !!!!

Wesak's Eve Dinner

Year 2007, Wesak's Eve, I have chance to have dinner with my boyfriend's family and relatives. 30th April 2007, a Monday where most of the people are on leave due to the long holiday for Labour's Day and Wesak holiday, as I mentioned in my " Month End Doubt ", I need to work on this day, that's why I wear a little formal for the dinner with his family and relatives.

After work, as usual, I went to my BF's house to wait for them as my BF took leave to accompany his mother, aunt and cousin sister for shopping. We met up at about 6.45pm and I bought two big " Yip Zhi Mei " pao for his relatives to try, I thought Kuantan doesn't sell " Yip Zhi Mei " big pao, but his aunt told me that she tried it before in Kuantan and it's not a surprise to her. Luckily, his cousin sister has never see such a big pao and it's her first time to eat this pao. Huh !!!

We went to Taman Sri Rampai, near Wangsa Maju to pay visit to his uncle's house and have dinner together. So co-incident, my BF's mum's handphone was not function when we about to reach his uncle's house, and since his uncle owns a handphone shop, my BF immediately bought a Nokia handphone for her mum as Mother's Day gift. His brother, Chee Hong shared the cost with my BF to buy gift for their mum.

Since it's Wesak's Eve, his uncle decided to bring us to a Vegetarian Restaurant for dinner. Really not bad, the restaurant food. I enjoyed the food very much and of course, with my beloved with me, I am very happy to be with his family members too.

Photo above was taken in front of the Vegetarian Restaurant, located at Jalan Setapak after the dinner. This is the first photo that I have taken with his family and relatives. Ha ! Since this is the case, then I must introduce one by one those people in the photo loh : ( from left ) is my BF's only brother - Chee Hong, same age with my youngest sister - Ah Tin / Ling Ling's mother; then his aunt, her youngest daugther and uncle who stay in Taman Sri Rampai, ( front row ) the small cute girl is the eldest daughter of my BF's uncle, behind the little girl is my BF's aunt from Kuantan who was here for holiday, the the lady stand next to my BF in bright PINK colour shirt is my BF's mother loh and those two standing at the back are my BF's cousin sister and her boyfriend from Kuantan. And, need no introduction at all, those two standing at the side from right are myself and my BF loh, hahaaaa...................

After dinner, we went to the Siamese Temple at Jalan Templer, Petaling Jaya - Siam Chentawan Temple to pray for Wesak. We spent about 1 hour there and then go home. That's our Wesak's Eve on 30th April 2007 !!!

Month End Doubts

Don't know why ......... maybe because of the long holiday imbalance mood ( where most of the people do not need to work today but due to my new job, not entitled for leave yet, forced to come back to office to sit here for no reason ), that's why feeling a little bit down and no mood .............

Luckily there is a place still for me to release my unhappy feeling - My Blog..........

Today, 30th April 2007 ( Monday ), last Thursday was holiday due to the Agong's Installation Day, and come back to work on Friday, one day, then Saturday and Sunday off. Today again come back to work for one more day, tomorrow and Wednesday off again due to the Labour Day and Wesak Day, sigh !!! Really sick.................

For my many years career life, I have never encounter such working experience yet until I joined this company, where I shamed to claim myself a professional conference / exhibition organiser. I asked myself not only once, but many times, what is this company doing ? Why such things can be happened ? Why such a big events and just less than a month to go, participants ask for Registration Form, our answer is : " No form available yet ", I asked around in the office with 5 colleagues, same answes I got from them : " No form one woh, how much arr ? I think RM 350.00. Don't know which account they should bank in the money to us woh, try to give some excuses to delay lah, if can't tahan and they keep on asking the form from you, you refer them to so and so loh. " Oh my goodness ! How can this happen in my company ? My god ! Really feel shame to tell people where I work and what I do............. never have such feeling all this while in my career life till now.....................

For a 2-days conference, due to own personal reason - want to go home early and don't want to stuck in the traffic due to the location of the hotel - Jalan Tun Razak, 1st day the programme finished at 3.45pm and second day, programme ended at 12noon. Still gave a very nice reason : The participants must be very happy one coz they can also go home early or go shopping. Come on lah ! People paid one thousand plus to attend the conference and due to all these unprofessional reasons, my god, still feeling happy and not guilty at all. The worst thing is, the amended final programme was NOT sent to all participants until the first day of registration.

I won't know until one particiapnt came to ask me : " Why you all amended the programme without notifying us ? Somemore remove some well known speakers where we paid purposely to hear / learn from him. And somemore two full days conference, now cut till 1 full day and purposely drag it to two days where 1st day ended at 3.45pm and second day, only 2 session, one before morning teabreak and one after morning teabreak. " My god !!! This kind of comment / feedback, if you were me, how would you answer them ?

I don't know how to answer them but if I were the participants, I know how to ask my question : " Can I get the refund from you for such a lowsy organisation of programme ? " I bet you, if I were the participants who paid the registration fee of thousand dollars from my own pocket to attend this conference, I sure make noise and swear I won't be back again for any events organised by the same company. I will for sure black listed this organiser.

But what to do ........ they don't care, and they do not need to care too........ events line up from Jan till December, full, the whole year calendar was full already !!! They don't care on the participant's feedback coz they do not need to care for, but business still coming in blindly...................

On the other hand, own benefit always come prior to job or professionalism. During teabreak or lunch time, the staff were first to eat, eat even more than the participants, no problem, the best thing is they ' ta pao ' in front of the participants, before they finished the food, before the teabreak or buffet lunch ended, they start taking out their tupperware, their plastic, their big envelopes, or whatever containers to pack food, in front of delegates, in the counter. My goodness ! Now only I know why such staff will still not fired by boss or why still got such unprofessional companies available in this 21st Century to serve ? Now only I know ...............

My deepest sorry to all the participants and really felt shame about it. And to all the sponsors.................

Another question I always asked myself, from the first day I joined this company till now, 30 days, I am still asking the same question : " How long can I stand in this company ? How long can I tahan here ? " Ha ahahaaa... frankly, I also don't now the answer now. I consoled myself with this : " No problem one, think for long, think for future, think for far, the only advantage of this company for me is, when one day, I got married, my priority has no longer at work, I don't find for job satisfaction, my only concern is my family - my babies and my hubby, then I will for sure love this company very much, coz no responsibilites to bear in any mistakes, just pinpoint. As long as your ' tai chi ' skill is good, when make mistakes, you know where to point to, then it's okay already......................."

This is the only excuse that I could find for the moment to ask me to stay still in this company. See lah ! Let's keep an eye and see lah, how long I can stay ..........
And for what reason I stay ............. maybe another way to keep me with the company is to get marry faster, settle down faster ............ so, dear, maybe my boss shall thank you with this ..............

Too long stay in a same environment, too long work in the same working culture, 13 years working in the same organisation, 12 years, 10 years, 7 years, 4 years, 3 years, 2 years, 1 year ............... I felt so lucky I saw this problem and I decided to have a change after 5 years working for the same boss............... huh ............... really feeling so lucky ! Otherwise, I will also become so ' karat ', not even know how to insert a column in Excel.......................

Wedding Dinner At Ipoh

28th April 2007, I and my BF in a car, Ho and his wife + daughter in another car, went to Ipoh for their unimate's wedding dinner. Originally, we plan to depart at about 11am from KL, then Ho said his car was still in the workshop and need to wait till it finished, postponed to 12noon. Again, 12 noon still can't finished, postponed to 1pm. I met up with my BF at Kin San Cafe as he is checking his email and doing his G&S + Toastmasters matters there, so I went there.

Another memorable day for me, as I made a big mistake by leaving a big mark on my tyre ring when I park my car at Kin San Cafe. Don't know why, after so many years of driving, never happened this kind of thing, and yesterday when I went to Hong Leong Bank at Bangsar, I cracked my car bottom, and today, again, at left hand side tyre ring. My god !!!!

Alright, back to the topic, 1pm, me and my BF went to South City Plaza for lunch since Ho is staying there. We waited him till 2.30pm, then only we departed for Ipoh. Halfday gone for nothing but just waiting.

We reached Ipoh at about 5.30pm, and it was a nice experience to get to know this new rental house in Ipoh town. The bridegroom booked a double storey house for us to stay overnight. That house is really a good one, the owner decorates the house just exactly like a hotel, two storey with 3 bedrooms at second floor and one big room at ground floor and one big living hall with Astro TV. All rooms equipped with aircond, carpeted, Astro Wah Lai Toi, fans, they even provide clean towels, soap, bath gel, shampoo and refrigerator. What a luxury house with hotel facilities but paying nuts for the room. For room without attached bathroom, RM 40 per room per night and room with attached bathroom, RM 60 per night, whole house RM 200 per night per house and if stay for two nights, RM 180 per night.

Very convenient, in about 1 minute drive, there is Secret Recipe, with about 3 minutes drive, cross the street, is Food Court and many restaurants surrounded. Good alternative accommodation at Ipoh. The ' hotel ' is located at Taman Ipoh.

This is the after-dinner-activity, we went to Stairway Pub & Cafe at Ipoh town for drinks. We were there till 2.30am. Poor my dear for really drink over his quota and ' suffering ' there the whole night ...................

This was the trip to " Sam Poh Tong " with my BF's aunt and uncle on Sunday, 29th April 2007. This is the only photo that I took from my camera because I didn't charge the battery of the camera, when we reached the Caves, this is the first and only photo that my camera can offers. So angry me for having camera but can't use it. So ' pai seh ' is after I took this photo, I asked my BF and his aunt, uncle and cousin to stand together and post for photo, but when I am about to zoom and focus, the battery went died. Angry angry and so angry !!! What to do ?! A lesson learnt for bringing charger together when go on trip. Hahhaa aa................... luckily my BFmanaged to snap some photos with his handphone.
